As mom, I was super nervous how my son would do being that he loves his pediatrician and loves people, but does not enjoy being held for exams haha. Dr. Ford and her team were so kind and so patient, and made my son as comfortable as possible. Additionally, parking was super easy, the location is beautiful, and the office is extremely clean, fun! (such a great variety of toys and whatnot to keep them entertained) and welcoming of all kids! I’m so happy we found this office and look forward to Dr. Ford being my sons dentist for a very long time.+2Dr Ford is AMAZING. She always puts my kids at ease and makes going to the dentist fun! She was kind, gentle, and took the time to explain proper brushing techniques and answer our questions thoroughly. I especially appreciated her conservative approach. She noticed a dark spot on a tooth and took X-rays to ensure it had not progressed before recommending any treatment. Rather than rushing into a filling, she carefully evaluated the area and determined that no filling was needed at this time. We had a very positive experience and highly recommend Dr. Ford to other families.Amazing amazing amazing. I would normally gate keep especially since Delta Dental is making tons of changes with insurance, however- we have nothing but positive things to say about Little Chompers. I have 2 toddlers under 4 and they have NOT cried at their appointments. They love going to the dentist now. The office is warm and welcoming, the staff as well. Dr. ford is great with my Littles and even though we have to drive 25 min away, we don’t mind driving over a couple cities to get to a practice that really makes my kids feel safe and takes the time to let the kids warm up and explaining what’s happening and how and even allowing them to see and touch some tools so the kids can explore a bit too, all while teaching them the importance of taking care of their teeth. We’ve had 4 appointments and braced and prepared for the worst (they cried a lot and hard at the prior dentist) but so far no tears. They are amazing!!!! Our kids look forward to their appointments and they know they’ve got some goodies and a toy chest for prizes post visit :) we’re happy here! Other things to note: quick check in process, ample seating space, Lots of toys in the waiting room and WiFi is available for patients. Anddddd We’ve always been on time. 10/10!+0I think Dr. Ford is nice because she is kind to me and we appreciate her so much. Also she helps me understand how much my teeth are very important.Matthew had a great experience with Dr. Ford. His past dental experience had not been the greatest but since starting care with Dr. Ford has made him gain his confidence and feels less anxious when visiting. Could not have found a better dentist than Dr. Ford!Dr. Ford and her team actually understands children and meets them exactly where they are. A dentist's office can be overwhelming for little ones, but the entire team went above and beyond to make sure my child felt safe, heard, and comfortable. My child was fine going into the appointment but as soon as we got to the chair, he wanted to go home and didn't want to cooperate. Dr. Ford and her team took a calm approach, gave him the space he needed and adjusted his dental check up to meet his needs. It is such a relief to find a dental office that prioritizes a child’s emotional well-being just as much as their dental health. We left with a happy kid and zero tears. He was so scared to go to the dentist and had never sat for a cleaning before, but she was patient and explained every part of the process to him. Dentists and hygienists are practical and offer constructive tips about keeping kids teeth in great shape. The practice is focused on preventative care. Haven't had anywork done yet, but even without insurance prices are reasonable for a single kid. If you have more than that and access to a >1k insurance might want to do open enrollment.What a gem of a find. The waiting room is full of toys to keep the little ones busy. The best part was Dr. Fink and our nurse Jeanine - absolutely patient rays of sunshine. We had to wait thirty minutes to be seen. That was disappointing.Dr Ford and her team are the best around. The office is clean, welcoming and has lots of toys to play with, not that we’ve ever waited long. They consistently have me and my toddler in and out quickly and efficiently. It’s obvious they are a well oiled machine and are experts at creating positive interactions with little ones just starting out at the dentist. She is so patient and sweet, made my shy and uneasy kids gradually comfortable. My 3 year old was very apprehensive and scared about her first visit but by the end of the appt she was better. By the second visit she was super excited to go to her dentist appt and practically jumped on the chair. Her waiting room is what really got them. They loved all the toys from train set table to the second play room with play food area and little couches, also with a movie playing. The prize at the end was another added cherry on top. The receptionist and assistants were especially great helping entertain my littles while I tended to my 3 year old making the stay feel like I was at my family’s house.Great experience with the staff! Everyone was so friendly with our whole family! I took my 3 daughters and they had so much fun with the staff and the staff told them everything they’d be doing so they understood! Our old dentist no longer accepted it and we were in a bind as they told us this 2 weeks before my child's dentist appt for their 6 month check in. The day of the appointment felt thorough and said what we needed to improve on. Great experience over all. Everything is very clean and they have a play area for your kid as well. Glad we found another dentist that accepts our insurance and that my child felt safe and secure.After a less than great experience at my son’s first time with a different dentist, I found Happy Little Chompers and made an appointment to get him established plus follow up on a tooth issue he had. He’s not even 2 years old yet, so it’s a hard age for these kinds of things. We walked in and theres a great play area to keep the littles occupied while you wait, and couldn't be more happy with the staff and dentist we saw. They understand the stage he’s in and were able to brush his teeth and walk me through how to best get in the habit of this for my little guy. I didn't feel judged or questioned about the fact he uses a pacifier but rather just focused on whats going on with his teeth. She answered all my questions and I walked out knowing I found the dentist we will be sticking with. We’ve gone a few times since and every-time is fantastic. They have SUCH a friendly staff and both Dr's have fine tuned their craft! We've been here for two years now and I can see all three of my children staying here until they age out, unless we move far away. While filling out the proper documents, my son was able to make himself comfortable in the play area. Once we were called in, the nurse was so kind and allowed him to brush the teeth to the stuffiest animals. This made him more comfortable and once the dr. Ford came in, he was so willing to anything! He allowed her to brush his teeth and check how many teeth he had, even I can’t do that at home!!! Great experience overall, they even had a prize box at the end and my son didn’t want to leave! Before our visit we filled out the questionnaire and history paperwork, and at the end it asked for information about who your child is and what they like. At our appointment I was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Ford mentioned something about my daughter that was mentioned in the paperwork, just the fact that she actually read it and remembered! Meet Dr. Anita Ford
Dr. Ford is a board-certified pediatric dentist who returned to Fairfield after completing her specialty training at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
She is raising her family here in Fairfield and her children attend school with many of her patients. She loves seeing families at local events, sports games, and around town. Many of the families she cares for today include children whose parents were once her patients.
